Top 5 cheapest travel destinations for students
Check out these destinations if you're looking for the best
and cheapest places to travel and explore while you're young.
Budapest, Hungary
Budapest is a popular destination if you are already in
Europe, but it is often overlooked by those who are unfamiliar with the region.
When I was planning my trip, I was surprised to hear from many of my more
worldly friends that it was their favourite city and also one of the cheapest
places to visit (though it is technically two cities, Buda and Pest). And now
that I've seen it, I understand why.
Havana, Cuba
Even before certain travel restrictions were lifted, Cuba's
capital city was a popular tourist destination. In terms of culture and
appearance, the city's history has created a very authentically distinct feel.
Many old cars and buildings are painted in vibrant colours, emphasising the
city's vibrancy.
Tamarindo, Costa Rica
Costa Rica is well-known for its low cost of living, which
extends to tourists as well. Tamarindo is one of the few places I would
recommend visiting if you are in the area. This place is truly one-of-a-kind,
with beaches like Playa Grande where you can see massive leatherback turtles
and a wildlife refuge teeming with howler monkeys.
Bali, Indonesia
Bali is unlike any other place on Earth, with its unique
blend of culture and breathtaking scenery. You can make the most of a trip to
Indonesia, one of the cheapest places to travel, because having fun only
requires you to step outside. It is a city meant to be explored.
Ko Phi Phi, Thailand
Thailand is a hugely popular tourist destination for young
people. Even the most luxurious vacation is only as expensive as living in a
major city due to the cost of flights and accommodations. And once you arrive
in Thailand, you can go island hopping, but Ko Phi Phi should be your final
destination.
