Things to Avoid Packing in Your Luggage

Before entering the airport, familiarise yourself with the usual security rules, such as the type of identification required and basic baggage rules, such as whether or not valuable or important personal items should be in your hand baggage. Below is a link to important security and baggage information, including recommendations on how to handle TSA procedures and pack your hand and checked baggage safely. Arrive at the airport and consult the list below to determine what to pack in hand and checked baggage

.

Liquids

Airports around the world limit liquids and gel items in hand luggage to bottles larger than 100 milliliters in size, and they must fit into a zipped plastic bag the size of a quarter or a liter. Except for breast milk and juices for children, liquid foods are transported in checked bags rather than handbags. Check the rules of the country from which you are flying, but in most cases, you will be required to inform the screening agent that you have liquid medicines in addition to the one-liter bag you are permitted. Most types of alcohol are permitted in checked baggage up to 140 times, but some, such as alcohol and strong rum, are not permitted in the travel bag.

Jewelry

We recommend leaving jewelry and other valuables at home during your trip, but if you must bring them, keep them safe in your bags. Keep all documents in your Checked Baggage, especially original copies containing personal information such as Social Security numbers and bank account information. Also, make sure your luggage is properly labeled and transported from the gate to the check-in area, as gate-to-check bags are more easily mishandled than regular checked bags, and you'll want your contact information in your luggage in case your airline misleads you.

Items that are flammable or explosive

Matches are not permitted in checked baggage, and flammable items like paint and liquid fuels should be avoided. Checked baggage is not permitted to contain fireworks, bleach, paint thinners, or other flammable or explosive items. If you must bring one, place it in your checked baggage so that it does not cut through it and injure baggage handlers or baggage inspectors. Nerf pistols and ammunition, guns packed in double-sided suitcases, pepper spray, and nutmeg spray are permitted, but only if checked baggage is equipped with security mechanisms to prevent accidental discharge.

In addition to the items prohibited in luggage bag, this post lists some of the items you should never put in your casual backpacks for travel. When checking in, there aren't many TSA restrictions to consider, but there are some worst-case scenarios to consider.
